TD4 Traction control and hilld descent warning lights

Really common problem and if you search you will find plenty of information about it.

In the case of my wife's vehicle (2006 TD4) it was becasue the brake-light switch was not clicked into position, after reading up on possible causes it took me about 30-seconds to diagnose and less than 10-seconds to fix.

Did you check that the switch was in position first or are you just going to risk it that the switch is the fault?

I have to admit they are so cheap and easy to replace that it isn't a bad thing because even if it doesn't cure it at least you can be 100% certain you have eliminated it as a possible cause.
