Internet parts

Hi,

My right hand indicators on the Disco have speeded up, and are much faster than the lefties. My un technical mind figures that the relay must be a bit squiffy, but the only way to know is to replace it!

So my local Halfrauds have three in stock but none on the shelf ("Must have been stolen").

So Im looking for a reliable internet car part store I can click through to an buy bits for delivery asap. You know the sort of thing, click click, and the next day Postman Pat is knocking on the door with Jess holding a small package in its mouth.

I have used Famous Four before and had good service, but the postage is expensive. Other places I have googled for charge four quid for p+p, which for a ten quid part is too much.

So does anyone have a suggestion for good places to go internet shopping? On this occasion I dont need a really obscure LR part for a 50year old landrover, just a generic part, so it doesnt even have to be a LR specialist...

Ta in advance...

Stephen

I keep forgetting, but paddocks have a small bit of text saying that you should ring for small parts as they can do cheaper postage, the internet system always add the same p&p otherwise.

For a relay then it would probably be worth it.

On the other hand, I'd suspect that a single relay is used for both sides, so if one side only is flashing faster have you defintely checked all the lights are working? Usually, because hte load is changed by a bulb going the indicators flash faster, also gives you a hint a bulb has gone.

Having said that the LR wiring is sometimes non-intuative and I could well be wrong.

For parts I use Brookwells in Bovey Tracey, Devon if getting stuff mail order. I have a good Britpart/bearmach agent local just around the corner though so I don't tend to have to order stuff anymore though.

As for the problem with your indicators.... you have a bulb out.

Cheers,

Matt

Ahh, the rear bulb is not working!

Which is odd since its only a couple of hours since it passed its MOT....hence my assumption the bulbs were OK.

Ta.

Must remember to check the obvious...

So now I need to order a single bulb over the internet - postage should be about 30p

Get one from any garage, most keep a small stock of vehicle bulbs.
