TD5 Defender underseat fusebox

Recommended Posts

Please can anyone answer the above question, what's it for? I'm about to start converting my 90" (originally a 98my 300tdi) to Td5. I have the complete engine loom and have just bought a new complete 04 spec bulkhead loom and instrument binnacle (inc it's little loom) I thought i had amassed everything i need but now i see there's a fusebox under the seat aswell as the usual bulkhead one? will i need to buy one of these or not?

Thanks chaps and chapesses :)

Steve

The power for the car is routed from the battery, through the under seat fusebox, and then into the cabin and the cabin fusebox. Yes you will need it if you want to run a standard Td5 setup, which is arguably the easiest way to go about it! The underseat fusebox is part of the main bulkhead loom, so you should have it, or the connections that fit onto it anyway. It'll be near the ECU connector.
