In short, you need either Java script or a recent version of Flash player to see the films. You should have the option to download one of both at the YouTube website. Essentially, both are a small(ish) program that run on your computer to decode and display the information (in this case a film) on the website. Chris Edit: If you have either program, check that your firewall is allowing it access.
geoffbeaumont
I'm guessing you've already tried the really obvious and checked you've got javascript turned on and the latest version of Flash? I'd have though Flash is more likely - lots of other things won't be working if you've turned javascript off. If they both check out okay, YouTube have probably got some dodgy Flash detection script on their site.
FridgeFreezer
What browser are you using Tony? As far as I can make out, nothing of any value has ever been done with Javascript that could not be done a better way. white90
IE how would I know if Jave was on or off?
FridgeFreezer
In the settings, not sure where it is in IE but there will be an option to enable Java, and probably one to enable JavaScript too. Knowing MS it will be under "Advanced Settings".
