Boro Posted September 17, 2011 Share Posted September 17, 2011 Does anyone know whether a company ever made a bulkhead for a 3 door discovery 1 which would bolt to the b pillars behind the front seats and also whether anyone made storage bins for the back to replace the two side fold down seats in the back, anyone here have some pics inside the back of a standard disco 1 commercial they could post up to give me some ideas? thanks chaps Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
western Posted September 17, 2011 Share Posted September 17, 2011 LR did bins for the rear corners for vehicles that didn't have the rea side seats IIRC, haven't seen a bulkhead for a 3 door Discovery, most commercial Discovery were 5 door variants. Orgasmic Farmer Posted September 18, 2011 Share Posted September 18, 2011 Sorry Western. All Discovery 1 commercials were 3 door. It is only form the TD5 on that they have been 5 door versions (since a 3 door was no longer an option. The bulkhead in the commercial bolts to the rear grab handle bolts at the top and is bolted down to a special "step" of steel which fills the footwell behind the front seats. This in turn is bolted to the seat mounting holes. It would be simple enough to make something similar from scratch if one wanted but they come up on Ebay often enough.
