His gearbox is just about shot so it needs replacing, i have an r380 gearbox from a 300tdi discovery lying around so was wondering if the r380 would bolt straight to a 3.9 v8? How do you determine what gearbox is in the vehicle incase the r380 wont fit? If anybodys interested this is the vehicle.. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Off Road Toad Posted September 25, 2011 Share Posted September 25, 2011 You need a v8 r380. the mainshaft is different on these as is the bell housing, get one of these and it'll bolt straight on. regards which gearbox - where is reverse? if its over to the right and back then its r380, if its over to the left and forwards then its probably lt77 etc Steve Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
