reggie Posted October 1, 2011 Share Posted October 1, 2011 I started to strip off the wing yesterday between jobs so I could tackle the drivers side inner wing & found some rot round the body mount amoung other places. Not the very front mount round by the headlamps but the one back from that below the bulkhead. I had a quick poke withn a screw driver & that revealed a hole in the mount, now I don't know how bad it is & if I can patch it but I fear it may be worse than it looks. I wonder can you buy a new body mount to weld in if it has gone too far? I'm going out now to investigate further with the grinder! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

reggie Posted October 2, 2011 Author Share Posted October 2, 2011 I looked on YRM & couldn't find it. I was struggling to see what was what as I haven't done any welding repairs as yet apart from the top on the windscreen. I've removed the spacer & rubber & it isn't any worse than the photo, it's all solid round the mount except that one hole so should be able to patch that up no problem.
