Mark90
I was swapping the rear diff over today to take the detroit out before 7S so I'm in standard class and thought I'd pull the shafts right out to check them. Just as well i did The diff end of the short shaft... Oh look all twisty... The long shaft had more twist in the splines and less along it's length, long shaft at the top... Only done the J33P club event at 7S and Tony's birthday bash with these shafts and the locker. I think I must have done the damage at 7S as I don't recall pushing that hard at Tony's, however i did at 7S Luckily I had a spare set of shafts, which are now fitted. Unluckily I only had one spare set so has anyone got any 10 spline thick flange drum braked rear 90 shafts, either standard or uprated (yeh i know, but thought I'd ask anyway )

Cause I have a pair of them sat in the garage, and they're bugger all use to me.

Mark90
I guess those will be the mushroom head ones with imperial (9/16" spanner) bolts, in which case they won't fit, thanks anyway. Oh and that other package arrived today. Looks just the job. Many thanks, I owe you one

Guest diesel_jim
It's a shame our diffs arn't centrally mounted in the axle, otherwise you could swap the shafts over and twist them "back" into shape....
bishbosh
Mark, Don't panic. I have spares. (I think coz I can't see the pics at work)
Mark90
If you do bring them at the w/e. Hopefully we won't need them with not having the locker fitted.

Mark90
that was lucky Mark, its you V8 boys too much right foot?try some ashcrofts shafts..... Aye too much right foot, but like Jim says there is a point to us V8 boys using the right foot, we get power and lovely noise and we get up the hill without winching Sod the fuel and half shafts. Ashcrofts, no it's a 10 spline diff, besides I'm not fitting any uprated bits till I've rebuilt a disc braked axle to swap for this drum braked one.
