nicks90
My truck has started to do the dreaded throttle steer again, power on it lurches left, power off and it lurches right. normally this is associated with the rear radius arm bushes being worn and allowing the back axle to move about under torque loadings. But i have checked the bushes at teh back and they all seem solid! What other bushes or settings would cause this, as i have a couple of days 'working from home' at the end of this week and want to get it sorted. cheers Nick
Bowie69
A-frame bushes on the rear, and radius arm bushes or panhard bushes on the front can give the same.
nicks90
A frame, not sure how that would allow the back axle to move horizontally, that would allow vertical movement surely? Either way, cheers and worth the look. Will defo check out front panhard though, as its lead a hard life so far under there
Bowie69
If one A frame bush is worn more then the other, it can rotate the axle left and right...
nicks90
Couldnt find any particularly worn bushes, but rebushed back axle completely and rear steer has gone!
nige90
My 90 does this. I recently had to change the rear diff and before refitting the prop I went for a drive and it still did it, so isolated it to the front. In order to see if a bush had play I put the bumper against the corner of the garage wall and whilst a mate did the looking I applied a bit of power and instantly the front diff went bang. Was only a couple of weeks ago and not got round to replacing it yet to see if that was the problem.
