neonovice
Hi, I've got a 2.5TD 1989 110. The fuel pump startet to leak diesel from the auto advance which is located at the bottom of the pump. I had a spare pump lying around so I thought I'd switch the auto advance bit from the bottom, saves messing around with the timing. Trouble is the landy appears to have an extra bit on the bottom of the pump and I have no idea what it's for. Any ideas? The picture shows the pump from the bottom. It's the disc shaped bit I'm not sure about.
neonovice
The spare pump I have lying around looks the same apart from the auto advance. It may have come off a 2.5 NA 12J engine. Is there going to be a difference between the 12J's pump and the 19J's pump?
RustyNissanPrairie
the 19j has a diaphragm jobbie for regulating fuel delivery when the turbo is on boost-the 12j dosnt have this. I have a 12J so Im afraid I cant be more helpful regarding the diaphragm boost bit.

I took the old leaking auto advance off and it turns out the diaphragm jobbie is a separate part The 12J auto advance was slightly different to the 19J one, but it went on no problem and she is running fine. Yay.
