tm2010
Just about to spray my 110 Bonatti grey but my wheel arches are the standard flexible black ones and very grubby, so I was thinking that if I plastic primed them and sprayed them with the same paint and then 2 pack lacquer on top they would look great and all would be good in the world again (well mine anyway) or am I about to head for a creek without my paddles? My concern is that the paint won't be flexible enough, would be greatful for any help. Cheers
Pwyll
If you can get the arches fairly clean, a damp sponge, some boiled linseed oil and a little elbow grease will have them looking like new in about an hour. Sheen lasts for ages too. We use it on all the dark exterior trim on the trucks in work.

Briarston
Plastic primer as already said, also plasticiser instead of thinners in the clear coat. (just for the wheel arches, that is!)

yalan
Where abouts are you? I'm currently painting my 90 and want the matt black flexible arches instead of the painted versions I currently have fitted (currently in red). Maybe a swop would be in both our interests? AdeParko
I've had this done in the past, and I'm sure the bodyshop added an something to the paint, so that the paint would flex with the arch, where as normal paint would crack and peel when flexing
