CwazyWabbit
To answer the original question I have not heard of anyone changing that seal in situ.

Les Henson
I've done it in situ (bluddy awkward), and off the vehicle. This is a waste of time in my opinion as the first stopped the leak for a few days and the second didn't work at all. If your leak is only slight, then put a capfull of DOT4 brake fluid in the reservoir and keep an eye on the leak. The brake fluid causes the seals to swell a bit and sometimes stops the leak. Les. miketomcat
I agree with les pointless changing seals they will leak again very shortly. Mike

barriesheene
Brian, are you still leak free. I've got a seal kit to do mine. It's only gotta last till I can afford a new box. What order do they go in ? I've got 4 parts.
