RRMatador
The RAVE manual states Dextron III to be used in my 1997 autobox. One of my oil cooler pipes is weaping badly from one of the unions, and i'm having difficulty finding Dextron III where i live. Will Dextron II surfice, at least until the new part arrives and the oil is changed? Will the 2 variations mix or should i drain current Dextron III and refill with fresh DII? teabag
Dexron ll is well dated, it's now Dextron llD but that has now been superseded with Dexron lll but you can still use Dexron llD which is compatable. My disco left the factory in 1997 with D llD in the gearbox, but is now on D lll, why not it appears to be a better spec. and is the same price.
