Richard Spandit
My L-reg 90 tdi is covered in rust, especially around the bottom of the doors. The bottom of the battery compartment is also pretty rusty - so much that the battery fixing notches have rusted through and nothing is holding the battery down (I'll probably fix that by drilling through the floor and using some stainless studding). Is it possible to heat up black underbody sealant so I can pour it into the battery compartment and make sure it penetrates properly? I've covered most of the rear door in red oxide sealant but notice that both front doors are pretty rusty around the bottom - am going to buy some of that rust converter paint but thought pouring more black Waxoyl sealant inside the doors would stop it from coming back Any other areas I should pay close attention to (haven't even started on the chassis yet!!) BogMonster
Inside the bulkhead, take the door hinges off and spray it in through the holes with a cavity sprayer thingy.
