dicsosfa Posted January 16, 2012 Share Posted January 16, 2012 hi looking for some advice want to carpet the inside rear load space,seatbox and bulkhead but unsure do i glue direct onto metal or onto plywood ? have seen a lot of gel backed auto carpet but its a bit costly dont really want to use house hold carpet i.e. foam or rubber backed. can i use flotex kitchen carpet what adhesive can i use for sticking carpet to metal or wood ? any help or advice welcome Roy. GBMUD Posted January 16, 2012 Share Posted January 16, 2012 Look no further than http://www.megavanmats.com/. I used them when converting my van to a camper. They supply proper high temperature adhesive (so the carpet will not fall off once the sun shines onto your car!) and proper unbacked lining carpet which will stretch around contours - OK, I know there are not many contours in a LR but think about the filler box and the rear lamp covers.
