Using a rear prop for the front

Recommended Posts

Hi it's a long story but I need my truck going for tomorrow and it has no front prop away being repaired,

So I hunted through my shed and found 5 props I thought some were front and some where rears but they all look the same I have found a good one and fitted it all ok. But then it occurred to me it could be a rear.

Will I be alright to run a rear prop on front.

Thanks

It'll probably work but vibrate alot, the front prop has the yokes set out of phase to counter the diff nose and transfer box output shafts not being square to each other, the rear props are in phase because the nose and output shafts are square.

Debatable at what difference the out of phase does, its easy enough to re-aligning the yolks as per the rear if it does vibrate,
