western
probably nothing, all depends on when it was built, if built prior to the SVA coming into being, then it should be legally OK, but if built after SVA came then it should have gone through the SVA process. doubt we will ever know. sean f
Can't see how it would be legal under just about any set of rules even pre SVA. "rebuilt using new chassis and modern components". To keep an id the chassis would have to be of the same type at least, probable fudge over different engine mounts ets but to go from leaves to coils and change the wheel base is definately not a direct replacement. Just know way that vehicle would have enough origional parts to keep an identity, parts replaced over time with similar parts (series 3 axle replacing series 2 etc) you can get away with but that is taking it to the limit. No way of knowing if the parts were legaly aquired so would have to assume that they were. As with all of these things and some of the other abortions some people will get away with it, the problem comes if someone is involved in an accident particularly if it is a serious one, then the authoritise will start looking closer and if it doesn't add up you can find yourself up for fraud (claiming a tax exempt vehicle when it isn't), no MOT, no insurance etc (they would refer to a vehicle which legaly doesn't exist, the vehicle you are driving being a different unregistered vehicle with false plates on). Having said all that it does at least look well put together and tidy from the initial pictures!.
