WFM 372L   chassis 90103366A  still registered as a petrol as well, DVSA would love this one, MOT history is interesting too, somehow tested as a diesel and the mileage going backwards! suggests build date late 2008/09 so going to need that IVA, strange thats its a trader and that they'd not question it

Wow,

If you gave it a vacuum out and a bit of a sponge down it will look just like the day it came out of the showroom:P

OK, not eBay, but still a vehicle at auction, at Mecum car auctions at Kissimmee, Florida:

https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0118-311785/1991-land-rover-defender-110-tithonus/

I watched the auction on YouTube and it reached US$23,000, but I'm not sure that the reserve was reached since the listing shows "The bid goes on".  There's another Defender at auction on Sunday, so I'll try to watch that one.

How somebody managed to import a 2007 Defender beats me, because the authorities in the USA are far more strict than here, in Canada, and Canada requires private imports of vehicles that do not have the equivalent of type approval to be a minimum of 15 years old.

Daan - that 90 has been to a few Shires events, at least twice at Bunny Lane to my knowledge and possibly once at Mannington. Chap is nice enough but the truck doesn't seem as capable as some might expect given the appearance of it. Probably most useful on boggy ground if you can control all the horsepowers

Could probably build 2 very different and more useful trucks out of that one, for the price you'd have to!

I like it from the point of view that that sort of thing is usually just a couple of foot of box section welded to the spring mounts and some big tyres, that seems to actually have some thought put into it and some decent parts. I don't think I'd be brave enough to try anything more than throwing a bit of mud up though as I think it'd just fall over or slide down slopes and fall over as I can't see the tyres gripping, too much surface area. Could be wrong though, I have been permanently since the day I got married :D

Interestingly it’s lost it’s genuine E registration and become a series 2. It’s also gained 2foot of chassis which I had chopped off

I know people don't always like questions asked on legality but.

How exactly does it qualify as a series 2 and tax exempt ?. Possible the door tops.....
