Retroanaconda
Sailed through it's MOT... with a nice hole in the bulkhead outrigger. Nice. What a sh***er!
Nigelw
Without a doubt the beefiest rear Xmember I have ever seen !!!! Not worth £1500 though!! To make it nice would cost at least another £800-£1000 especially with an interior like that!! WTF happened to the dash????....
Landy-Novice
its a work horse ffs, its not brand new... Sailed through it's MOT... with a nice hole in the bulkhead outrigger. Nice. mot was 6 moths ago.. plenty of time for rot to appear. Not worth £1500 though!! well it obviously is to someone.. the wheels and tires are worth over £500 alone. it also has a personalized number plate... and not to mention is comes with a brand new door. and who would pay that sort of money for a good solid land rover? almost sounds like a bargain to me. im not sure why you would spend upto £1000 on tarting up a work horse?. Something I learned a long time ago with S/H cars, the asking price is only the deposit, from what I can see of it, and from what I know about pulling them apart to fix the things I can see, it ends up costing a lot more than you first realized, yes it is a work horse but I would not be happy to sit in seats like that and stare at a dash like that either!! So replacing them would be first job and then what happens when you pull it all apart, you find even more sh*t, just looking at it says go away I have been fully abused and poorly maintained, good luck to who ever buys it, see your point for wheels and tyres but they are what folk like me call consumables, I spent 800 on my tyres, but they are still just consumables, more interesting to break it and sell it in bits and double the money I suppose? Retroanaconda
There's a difference between a "work horse" vehicle, and one that's just been abused. I've seen plenty of vehicles that age or older which have had hard working lives but don't look like such a pile of ****. The interior is a good indication of how the vehicle's been treated I find - and that vehicle has been trashed over the years with nobody bothering to repair or look after it because they for some reason believe that just because it's a working vehicle it's okay for it to look like that. Being a Land Rover it's still worth money, and I'm sure there are people out there who wouldn't mind driving it about in that state, but there's a lot of work to do to make that car "liveable with" in my view.
