danebrewer
Hi all, as my windows in my 90 CSW are pretty rattly and leaky and generally in pretty poor shape, plus the window tracks seem to be a great place to grow moss and algae in..... I was wondering whether there are any off the shelf bits available to convert them from sliding windows to just single panes of glass as I don't really carry passengers, and if they want the window open they can just ask . if not, has anyone fitted something similar? western
any windscreen supplier should be able to source the required glass & seals, a lot of 110 export hardtops had fixed side windows.
danebrewer
oh cheers, I guess they'd already know the size? or would they need to measure it? I'm guessing they'd replace the windows the save as the curved ones in the roof corners, or is there some sort of frame that holds the windows in place (also possibly to add stiffness?) western
no frame for fixed windows, just glass [4mm thick & toughened IIRC] the seal is similar to the small rear windows each side of rear door & alpine windows in roof.
