discotom Posted March 5, 2012 Share Posted March 5, 2012 hi, The steering on my 95 300 disco has recently become very notchy and a clicking sound can be heard from the area behind the steering wheel and also the steering can be quite heavy at times, I have recently replaced the lower steering column shaft as that was quite worn and i have also replaced a leaking steering box so everything engine side of the bulk head is definately ok. I have seen upper steering column uj's listed on various parts websites so im assuming that you can strip the column and replace this?? can any body confirm this and are there any other uj's on the column that will need to be checked/replaced as looking at the column whilst it is still in the vehicle it's difficult to see anything that can be replaced. thanks in advance Allen Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
