Les Henson
The news this morning - a ban on trail bikes and 4x4's has been extended by a further 12 months. Yorkshire Dales Park Authority and a Trail Rider got to have their say, but no-one for the 4x4's. The ususal accusations of motorised vehicles destroying the byeways was used as the reason, as well as peace and quite for walkers, riders, and cyclists. Dales Rep said people don't want to have to 'dodge out of the way of motorised vehicles' - so you don't need to for horses and cyclists then? The rep for the trail riders stated that he hopes thta in 12-months time there could be an agreement with the parks authority for some kind of motorised access. That would be nice, but I think it's highly unlikely myself. Increasingly, bans are being extended or kept for pathetic excuses, mis-management, and plain lies. If you aren't fit enough, then you are banned from enjoying the Yorkshire Dales. What rubbish. Les.
