stuck Posted April 1, 2012 Share Posted April 1, 2012 Gent's, I don't have a disco to look at so was wondering if anyone can tell be if the disco chassis is similar in layout to the RRC? I would be cutting a section from the middle along with front and rear overhangs so I'm only talking about the main chassis rails between the axles, all out riggers would be binned as well so I don't care about those either. forkrentfitter Posted April 1, 2012 Share Posted April 1, 2012 for your purpose the chassis are near identical,when i have shortened them i make up a sectionabout 12" long that fits snug inside the chassis rail box section like which works well spreading the load,i leave a 10mm gap when i pull the two halves back together,this leaves a nice area to weld,then finish off with plates around the outside.
