Tanuki
So long as they are all radials, or all crossplies, and of suitable speed-rating, you'll be OK. (You shouldn't mix radials & crossplies). But it would be advisable to have the tyres on the same axle paired as the same type. --Tanuki. jad
But it would be advisable to have the tyres on the same axle paired as the same type. Not just advisable it is illegal to have different tyres side to side Jad
mikeyb13
Aslong as they are all the same size and type on each axel ie: ATs at front and MTs at back and they are legal then they should pass
Diff
Aslong as they are all the same size and type on each axel ie: ATs at front and MTs at back and they are legal then they should pass I agree, it should pass MOT if same 'nominal' size, however, coil sprung Land Rovers are permanent 4x4 and there may be differences in 'actual' size, which will cause the centre diff in the transferbox to work a bit harder than it should. There WILL be differences in the way the tyres handle, so whether it passes the MOT or not it is not an ideal set up from a safety point of view. Regards, Diff.
