Fatboy
Hi, A few months ago I when I replaced the plugs in the V8, they were a swine to remove and indeed I stripped the threads on the block with one of them. They seemed to be corroded around the bottom of the threads... Last night, I replaced the plugs on the other V8 and they were not as bad although going the same way.. Both engines are 3.5's, running on carbs with BP6RES Plugs and LPG. I'd appreciate any thoughts ?
jiginc
Never had a problem on my 3.9. I always use copper grease. If you don’t give it a try. JIGINC
Fatboy
I had it on the gas tester today and it was way out... was running lean at high revs (=all the time when SWBO at the helm). Hopefully all it did was the plugs and not the valves etc. Its running okay now, much smoother
