A444 RYV and some very special Maroon Series & a Rangie

Recommended Posts

A444 RYV, saw this while out on my push iron. (in reflection)

Wasn't Liz herself but some foreign delegation types having a play around the grounds.

Looked nice.

Note: the lack of number plates

The V8 sounded ace! Now if I didn't have to pay for fuel I'd have a 110 V8 with lift up handles and leather seats.

There wasn't a spot of rust or a single sign of electrolyte corrosion. Shows they know how to build them proper if they want to.

Yep no number plates. Denotes a government vehicle to be used by the monarch on official duties.

I like the modified series three radiator grille on the series two

I like it how there is a silver Disco 3/4 or is it a RR? looks like with a winch on the front, kind lurking behind them all...

Nobody else would put a winch on a D4, you'd just start with something that weighed less than a small nuclear power station and was therefore less likely to get stuck on that grass verge :D

Nice pics :)

Land Rover ZA put a winch on four D4's for Kingsley Holgate for his malaria project

I can't see the Lejuene mascot on the 'fender bonnet.

I can only assume it was transferred to her 'new' Defender. A444 is retired now I think

I imagine you are correct, I've got one on mine which I transfer from vehicle to vehicle.
