western
after doing a cylinder head gasket change on my 200Tdi [Defender spec] I had to drain/refill the cooling system, I moved the fan cowling to examine the rads rear face & found lots of dead fins, so huge gaps between the cooling fluid tubes, engine/cooling system has never overheated & is otherwise in good health your task is to advise on which is the best new radiator to go for, I don't want the Britpart plastic tank assembly, but if it turns out to be the only option I'll get one, Edited September 1, 2012 by western
reb78
How about a recore Ralph. M&D will uprate the core if you send them your old unit. There was s thread on this a while ago, I'll dig it out when I'm not on my phone.
reb78
Here it is (found it anyway) http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=71503 It's initially about 300tdi rads, but I suspect the quality makes are the same for both.
western
Thanks for the link Still got the previous rad in the garage, so I could get that re-cored without taking the 110 out of use, I've found a place near Roche just off the A30 that can recore it more local, but I'll find out how much M&D want & how much it'll cost me to post the old unit to them, it's flipping heavy. oneandtwo
I bought a 300tdi britpart one last year and it is all brass, not a bit of plastic anywhere on it.
western
found place within cornwall, that can recore my old rad & take it as a part-exchange on a pre-recored item from their stock, so hopefully next week I can go fetch it,
nickr
Hi Ralph... What about Camborne Radiators?... just around the corner from you. Looking at mine today as part of the conversion I'm thinking that I might get mine looked at before it goes in.

western
Western Can you get your intercooler repaired useing that method ...while you have it off? nothing wrong with the intercooler, that's all intact & working, it could probably do with an internal clean though.
