ltwt1981
Drove Water Lane yesterday, found a tree down near the bottom. Cleared the tree by winching it up the bank so it is now driveable again if anyone is interested. Never seen it this dry no running water or large puddles. If you've never driven it now is the time as its not slippery in the rutted section.
LR90
Did you drive down or up it? Wasn't dry the last time I was there
ltwt1981
Drove down, easy really in the lightweight as its so narrow.
Bomag
The top section used to have a deep gulley down the centre that needed to be stradled, is this still there?

ltwt1981
Not a vee gully now, but the centre is a good lean, not dangerous as you will only fall against the bank if not already using it.

Bomag
The shape of the gulley has changed, it was a lot deeper and steeper sided, but that was a few years ago. As I remember it, the depth was level with the trailbikes handlebars but it was the turn when leaving the streambed that caused the most problems.
