CJ1
I know a lot of you reading this post will have seen the troubles I am having with dodgy repairs from a garage charging top money and me forking out more money, this time replacing the engine completely for another unit which comes with a guarantee. But the engine doesn't come with a new cambelt kit, My current engine had a complete cambelt kit replaced on it so am re-using the tensioner, but am struggling to decide on which cambelt I should buy. I have seen plenty of cheapies out there with no brand names at all so will not touch them, but the brand I trust (Contitech) Is quite expensive. What brand would you recommend? Has anyone had any issues with new belts? If so what brands and where from? Cheers.
LiamC
I have used Dayco timing belts on various vehicles in the past as I understand they are a good manufacture.
CJ1
Thanks LiamC, That has saved me near enough 50% of what I thought I was going to have to pay. I bought a Dayco cambelt for £17.50 delivered.
