jay_jay92
hi all I had a problem with my fuel pump leaking, I managed to sort it but in the seal kit it didnt have the seals for the other spindle so i have had to strip it back down again and do that one. I have had it running well from when I first put it back together Now i have put it all back together from how i took it apart and same as last time now i cant seem to get diesel upto the injectors I Have tryed priming it with the lift pump but that feels like its got pressure one minute then none the next I have tryed a few things to bleed them i have also tryed bump starting it and using easy start to pull it through but it will not carry on running put a new diese filter on today and tried putting the pipe in a bottle to try that and the lift pump seemed to be passing loads off diesel through so bit stuck on what to do Also just tryed the injector pipes that run from pump to injectors no diesel coming through there So it's feeding to the pump but not coming through the pump the injectors Is there anythink I could off nocked or done wrong What is the other shaft on the side off the pump that there is a bar that goes to the throttle now im starting to get annoyed with it now Also I have got a live to the solinoid to make sure it turns on anyone got any ideas off what it could be or what to try or anyone that could help with what it is thanks
Simon Smith
Fist thing I would do is take the solenoid out and test it. Have known these to fail for no apparent reason.

TheRecklessEngineer
2nded. Pull the solenoid and take the spindle out to disable it. You'll have to stall it to stop it, but it'll ensure it's not the problem. You could also put a feed directly to the fuel filter from a bottle bypassing the lift pump. The injection pump will have enough suck to pull it thorough no problem.
jay_jay92
Already tryed what you said about taking bush out off solenoid and putting a pipe in the bottle still no joy
TheRecklessEngineer
Bypass the filter as well - but ensure you use clean diesel. Are you getting diesel out of the pump return line?
LiamC
Its not clear from your post, just to check, you are cranking the engine when bleeding from the FIP to the Injectors? Priming the lift pump alone will not push fuel through to the injectors. You need to crack open the fuel connections at each of the injectors then crank the engine until fuel leaks out, then re tighten the fuel connections and it should go. jay_jay92
I have diesel getting to the fuel injection pump but not coming out to the injectors. I think the pump is knackered so gonna try and replace it don't suppose anyone as a cheap one. Thanks
