Tetsu0san
Hi all I have a 200Tdi Disco which runs fine overall but it seems to be losing water. I can't see any obvious in the engine bay but if I leave the car for a few days I seem to have a small puddle in the drivers side footwell. Does this sound like the heater matrix is leaking? If so, how easy is it to remove the heater? Cheers
Puffernutter
In the beginning there is a shell, second action, install the heater matrix, then everything else! It took me a day to get everything out to get at the matrix and half a day to get it back in! A week later I had to replace the rotary coupler in the steering wheel when the horn stopped working and the airbag light came on! That was after I had wrecked an engine after it had overheated because I was losing water and hadn't realised! Cheers Peter
dave88sw
disconnect the 2 rubber hoses that go through the bulkhead to the heater in the engine bay and join them with a straight bit of pipe and see if you're still losing water, if this solves it, plan to change the matrix
