Disco-Ron
I only ask out of curiosity, as I'm in the process of swapping tyres off the standard rims onto mine, my truck is 1996, and I'm amazed that it had tube type rims, unless that may have been an option, my truck is ex National trust, and used to have HD bits from factory. . . Just seems odd to me!
Big.Mike
Not entirely odd, I could see it might be quite useful to have tubes on a vehicle is almost always off road... (the National trust must almost always be off road)... It's cheaper to simple replace an inner tube than a whole tyre in the event of a puncture, and easier to get tyres working again if you're stuck miles from nowhere and you don't need special tools. I understand it's a consideration when overlanding, for the same reasons... I'm only now finding out about that stuff now...
Retroanaconda
I thought they were still selling them with tubed rims/tyres. Standard fit, always used to be. I know for sure they still were in 2002
