Troll Hunter
Hi, Please can somebody give me manufacturer's part numbers for the release bearing, friction plate and cover for a 300Tdi/R380 combination. I'm trying to find parts locally (in Canada) rather than have to ship them out. Paddock gives their numbers as: FTC200G for the bearing FTC196BB for the plate and URB100760G for the cover. It doesn't matter which manufacturer's numbers I get, and they don't all have to be the same manufacturer, since auto part factors have cross reference facilities. Unfortunately, since the Defender was never sold in N. America, they only know about Range Rovers and Discos, and they all have V8s, so not a lot of help! Many thanks, in advance, for any help you can provide. Mike Admin: I've put this in "International" since far more people look at this than at "Part Numbers", but please move it if it's inappropriate here. western
300tdi friction plate is now UQB000130 this is the heavy duty version with 8 damper springs, much better than the original item release bearing is now FTC5200 Pressure cover is URB100760 the G on the end just means it's a equal of the genuine land rover supplied parts. should be the same numbers as for 300tdi Discovery , as that uses the same engine & gearbox. but doubt there are many tdi discovery's in your area. Troll Hunter
Western, Many thanks for the updated LR part numbers. Is there any chance that you, or any other forum members, have the corresponding manufacturer's part numbers, please? Valeo (valeo.com) only list Disco and RR V8 components since they were the only versions imported to N. America. Mike
western
click this Valeo link http://outcat-cs.tec...ndexFramesetJsp then click Land Rover Defender in selection box 2nd down on left of page in 'assembly group selection window click 4th down 'clutch parts' it should then open a window showing the friction plate & pressure cover details, for 300tdi clutch parts read under engine code 23L then click on the 6 digit number in each sub window, it'll bring up a blue box select OE information, then it'll display the LR part numbers, some are out of date.in which case use the 9 digit numbers I posted earlier. Hope it works.
Troll Hunter
Western, Thanks for the link and instructions, but, sorry, it doesn't work. When I click the link I get to "http://outcat-cs.tecdoc.net/tecdoc/error.html?step=2" site and the message "Your internet connection was interrupted. Please reconnect to the internet." Every other site is still connected OK, and doesn't appear to suffer an interruption, and because the link you supplied does not display the full URL I cannot copy and paste it. I can get to their Home page, but stumbling around the site - my German is not good - it seems that I need to login. I may be getting the error message because I'm not a member and I have not logged in. Mike
western
It's a bit of a crappy website, not easy to find things try this link http://www.valeoserv...duits.focus.php I don't login to it either, you don't need too. then click on top right link 'valeo web catologue' leave the first link open, on the 2nd window click on engines tab, then at bottom of page click on 'further PC manufacturers' then click land rover, then click defender station wagon, then click 2.5 90.110 tdi that brings you to the assembly group selection page then go from clutch parts as mentioned above. hopefully the above should get you in to the page. OK, I get to the engines tab, and in the new window there's a table to complete to identify the engine of interest. I can't find anything like: "further PC manufacturers" at the bottom of the page. In fact, there's nothing at the bottom of the page. Why would there be a link to "further PC manufacturers", assuming that PC refers to Personal Computer? Or did you get interrupted in mid-sentence, and typed in a bit of another conversation ? I'm totally baffled! You're right about the web site. It is mega crappy. A good advert against using their web designers. Mike
western
Nope, I wasn't distracted, here's a photo walk through, just click where the little hand & pencil point too. click the http://www.valeoservice.com/html/export/en/produits.focus.php then the next window opens & follow --- hopefully that will let you see the clutch parts pictures. Troll Hunter
Western, you're a star! Thanks a million. My prob was that in your previous post you said to click on Engines, not Vehicles, but I've got it now. Thanks again. Mike
