Hybrid_From_Hell Posted November 25, 2012 Author Share Posted November 25, 2012 This has been going on daily for 10 days, with each time him checking what I suggested In summary A "Racer" V8 Comp safari Full MS conversion He advised me It have spark, It cranks and fast It has fuel and has return pipe showing fuel doesn't even try to start No air leaks No blockages Correct fuel STIM shows ECU Fine All earths fine new plugs leads all rechecked wiring checked till bored with checking changed EDIS Ran through diagnostics, every terminal had correct volt / amps etc no blown fuses relays working ECU powering Firmware reloaded MSQ Reloaded Ignition leads and plugs correct ?? Landy-Novice Posted November 25, 2012 Share Posted November 25, 2012 so if we know: it has right fuel battery is fine ecu is plugged in coil pack wired correctly ignition switch is fine flywheel/starter ring is fine rocker shafts are fitted cam is fitted trigger wheel and sensor are fine the car is fully assembled.. it started before MS has correct fuel map timing is correct fuel/air mixture is correct injectors aren't sticking engine turning correct way all fuses fitted has correct firing order injectors open on correct stroke throttle is working correctly all wired up correctly valves and fine exhaust is fine then wtf is it?! lamda sensor? All seemed fine I asked him to do lots of checks all seemed fine But nothing I asked him to check fuel pressure answer back was masses ..... In conversation he said he never had this prob before megasquirt And the engine ran fine before the install I asked about the engine - when did it last run ? Before I removed it - ran fine Hmmmm Hang on - removed it from what ? The disco 3.9 he bought for the engine to replace His old one ...... Any thoughts now ? Old engine 3.5 carbs new engine 3.9 efi Had twin low pressure pumps and swirl pot He forgot to mention this "****" we're his exact words I said to him "how exactly did you check the bludy fuel Pressure when I asked you ?"
