V8 Freak
In the recent bout of reading up on this Mo there are a lot of options.... One person created a neat fixture above / attached to the heater temperature controls on a Defender. Another into the flat area of the Td5 dash (Like yours) under the radio so they could activate with hand on the gear lever... Another built a small plate under the leading edge of the cubby box... Out of sight, used basic buttons from the likes of VWP and kept the wire routing the simplest by not having to route forward to the dash at all. If it's largely only you driving, then no need to complicate the install to make is simple for others.... Go for simplest... I'm considering the cubby box option in my thinking as I'm the primary driver and therefore it doesn't need to be "pretty".. Just functional... Andrew Chua
just a quick note, if it's a 1.410 T-box, a direct wiring to the ECU will work well, with the cruise control enabled. If you have a 1.222 box, you need some electrical bits to trick the ecu to the number of pulses to that of the rpm.
