theoptimist
hi guys, Seems to me mantec snorkels are now like rocking horse ****, and the other one i have found is from Spain and cost 675 euros, are there any other 4x4 snorkles that would fit like a hilux or l200 snorkel, has anyone done this? or no where to find a decent snorkel for a td4 freelander. many thanks theoptimist
landroversforever
I'll pay attention to this as a mate with a freelander is after one
FridgeFreezer
A mate who fitted one for someone said it was a complete PITA as it uses the inner wing cavity to duct air, hence you have to seal every nut, bolt, rivnut, drilling, etc. Don't know what the make was, I tend to go for B&Q drainpipe or stainless exhaust pipe. For a FL I'd think you only need to move the intake to the top/rear of the engine bay and stop splashed-up water from falling into the pickup, if you're going deeper than that it'll float! mickeyw
...if you're going deeper than that it'll float! Don't think he'll have that problem with a Hilux, as Mr Clarkson found out
