In this version by Gwyn Lewis, the pictures make it look like it's driven by the viscous fan pulley. You could always ring Gwyn, I've found him to be really helpful in the past.

Also, if you fitted a 24V one you can run a second 24V battery, which halves the current draw to winches etc, so you can get away with smaller cables or enjoy the lower voltage drop :)

And then they get silly and put 24v through 12v motors for proper speed :)

Back on the topic... the Gwynn Lewis pic shows the 2nd alternator pulley with a number of V's free, meaning the belt used is probably the air con one (4v's) instead of the normal aux belt which is 7v's. The aircon belt is driven off the crankshaft (bottom) pulley.
