Clutch slave cylinder spacer

Recommended Posts

Ive just been looking at some items in my parts book and it says, when using the replacement clutch slave cylinder part number ftc5071, the spacer should be discarded. I wonder what the effects of this are, when the spacer is left on, presumable the clutch doesn't disengage quite as much? Reason I ask is I fitted one ages ago, and have just fitted a new one again both times fitting the spacer. Just wondered if this was commonly known or not??
