Walsho
Hello, Does a 95 discovery 300tdi have inline wire fusible links wraped up in gauze behind the battery along the wing, or are the fusible links in the box behind the battery with the glow plug timer relay attached. teabag
Fusible links are in the engine bay fuse box, a relay is attached to the bracket on diesels, on the lower level I believe as I've never had to go there
Walsho
So a 95 disco has the fusible links in a box,and not in the wiring loom wraped in a gauze like material.
lyron
nope, as said, in the fuse box.with a relay on the side for diesels, ron.
mickeyw
I think the gauze wrapped type is just on 200 Tdi models. It took me some while to find them when trying to figure out why my sister's Disco kept cutting out. They are crimped to the main cable with brass rings, and boy do they like to go green and crumbly! As above, the 300 engines have a far better solution tidily fitted in the engine bay fuse box.
Walsho
Thanks for all the help. Here is what I've found out.Correct me if I'm wrong. 200 Tdi Discovery = 7 inline fusible links wraped in the loom with a gauze material. 300 Tdi Discovery = 6 fuse type links in a black box with the glow plug relay attached. 1 inline fusible link in loom coming from where the loom splits at the glow plug relay to the battery positive terminal. This is a single brown cable wraped in a corrigated plastic tube with a ring on the end.
