rovernut Posted December 19, 2012 Share Posted December 19, 2012 I have to admit to knowing very little about the Freelander 2. My Son asked me for advice about a terminal sounding clacking noise coming from a small box mounted at the front of the engine. Apparantly this noise carries on for a short while even after shutting it off. The description of the box is a bit vague but he says it is about 6" long with a solenoid attached and is electrically operated. (not sure if it is a solenoid or stepper motor ). I am told it is a 2.2 Ford Diesel. Any thoughts on what this device might be would be very helpful as there is no Haynes for this vehicle yet.
