sheppy
did try having a search but couldnt find anything relevant to my problem, the wipers are currently working and work at 2 speeds, the issue is they seem very laboured (driven old 90's before so know what they should be like) they also making quite a loud 'click' at about 45 degrees which sounds like its coming from the spindles rather than the motor. Any ideas?
western
remove the blades/arms, remove motor & drive cable, clean off the old grease, regrease with new castrol LM or similar & refit, might be worth cleaning & regreasing the motors gearbox too. western
when you've got the blades & arms off, put a blob of paint at 12o'clock on the wheelbox shaft, after you extract the wiper motor/cable, note where the paint blob is, before putting the cable/motor back, rotate the shafts 1/2 turn, hopefully when the cable is refitted it'll be driving on a less worn part of the wheelbox gear. Troll Hunter
My wipers were very laboured until I really cleaned up the earth connection. Might be worth checking . Mike
