Alloy Wheels.studs/nuts + Tyre Sizes

Recommended Posts

IF i wanted to fit alloys to my '99 td5 and went for LR ones or LR fit ones what happens with the nuts/bolts etc.

i am aware that you have to get new ones but are they nuts that go on the exisitng studs or are they bolts and you have to remove the studs to fit them?

2nd part is can you get ATs in 255/85R16 or similar size?

Normal bolt type, that use the same wheel studs, so simple swop over,

so the exisitng thread/stud stays put and then an alloy specific nut goes over that looks like a bolt due to having the closed end?

in other words could you swap easily between alloys and steel wheels just by using different wheel nuts when you put the wheels on?
