Jim1
Help required please. I have a 300TDI and had to change the injector pump, on dismantling I found the timing belt shreaded and the sprocket in two parts. I need to remove the sprocket how have you guys manage to do this? I have the timing kit but nothing fits, I also have pullers but they don't fit.
steve b
there are three M5 threaded holes in the front of the sprocket to attach the puller plate to . If its proper stuck drill a hole almost thru parallel to the crank nose and split it with a chisel/punch cheers Steveb
vulcan bomber
I made a puller like this when my 200's sprocket was giving me the run around. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1048601807700&set=a.1002442133737.374.1005341141&type=3&theater
Retroanaconda
For my 200Tdi (which isn't that different I don't think) I just took a short piece of 3/4" box section and drilled two holes through it. Then wound the sprocket off the crank with a pair of bolts into the tapped holes in it.
