Boydie
This is mainly for Aussie readers but Julie nee Ossa Johnson (the lady adventuress I live with) and I will be doing a central Oz tour for the six week period indicated. Plan is ;- Sydney, Byrock, Tibooburra; Innaminca via the Bore track; Birdsville via central track; Dalhousie via the French Line; Ayres Rock; The Olgas; drive into WA to refuel at the roadhouse on the gunbarrel and then return east via the Great Victoria Desert to view the "ground Zero" markers at Woomera Atomic Bomb site. Then onto Oodnadatta, down the track to Maree then hook north along the Strezlecki Track to Montecellino Bore (fabulous bird-life, camels and soothing artesian hot water springs) before returning to the Gammon Ranges for some serious 4WD driving then south to Yunta, black-top to Broken Hill and then home to Sydney possibly with a couple of days at Meningee if the lakes are full. Expected distance 19000 kilometers, allow for 2000 litres of fuel say $4000 plus food etc and around 36 nights under canvass ---- anyone interested in joining us?
