need4speed
Fitting my wiper motor to td5 bulkhead and discover 2 holes. What are they for? Ive encircled the holes in question in the pic below. I think one of them is windscreen washer tube?? Should i just blank the other off, or is there something else that goes through there? western
washers tubing comes through higher up into the under screen vent area.via the oval grommet hole, just what feels like 2 blank plastic grommets in those 2 lower holes on my 110 but can't see them in the parts lists. Paul Woodward
Yes they are for the washer tubes, on a 300 TDi bulkhead anyway!
mcc1979ian
I noticed them on my TD5 bulkhead but just presumed they were for air con models. I went with washer tube through the oval hole further up as western suggested. Maybe i best remember to blank them holes or the passenger could end up with wet feet. need4speed
On my bulkhead i have no hole further up so i guess they are front and rear washer tube holes as suggested earlier. Im not bothering with rear wash so i'll blank one off. Thanks fellas.
western
so is that your bulkhead in the photo in your original post ? or did you use another photo for illustration. the oval hole is there above the heater square hole, it should have a big 3 hole grommet in it for the wiring from dash to heater/left front lights to pass through, my washer ubing is routed through it too. need4speed
No thats not my bulkhead Ralph. I wasnt near my 110 when i posted so used that photo for illustration only. Im using td5 bulkhead along with td5 harness so i dont have the big 3 grommet plate thing.

mcc1979ian
Iv got a td5 bulkhead too and i have the oval hole, the plastic 3 hole plate came from my old td bulkhead. There are 2 of these ovals and 2 plastic plates on it at similar areas each side.

need4speed
So the question then that begs to be asked is.....where the hell do you washer tubes go?
Retroanaconda
Think it depends what the chap on the assembly line was feeling like on the day. Or the spec of the vehicle etc. All the vehicles I've seen have had the washer tubes through those two holes.
