ejparrott
ebay is very good, keep an eye on the Lidl and Aldi specials too, I've got an Aldi drill which does ok.
Part1cle
I used these folks a couple of times http://www.ffx.co.uk/ very good service I thought. Have an Aldi angle grinder, its ok but a bit crude compared to the Makita and Hitachi ones I have - you pays your money....
JeffR
Try and find Metabo, got an angle grinder made by them that has put up with so much abuse, not super cheap, but not expensive either.
Green Bob
Toolstation are usually quite good, relatively cheap stuff. You can order online or go behind B+Q at Portrack...
boyt
Bosch pro for angle grinders. We use and abuse them at work and there the ones that always keep going. Depends on what kind of work your going to do with them. We have a bosch drill aswell and thats lasted 5 years. But dosnt get used much as we use cordless drills. Were snap on drill seems to be the best we found

madmatt
Mike I know you are not a fan of eBay but I picked up two makita pistol drills for 20 quid each manafacturer refurbished they have been used and abused and at 20 quid for a drill with a 13mm keyless chuck I think I'd struggle to find cheaper.
