Ever wanted to try green laning but were unsure about how to go about it or were worried about potential damage to your pride and joy? Do you appreciate fine dining, good hotels, and great company? Read on......

We currently have 2 places remaining on an upcoming greenlaning trip I am involved in organising on the 9th-10th February this year. Before outlining the details of the trip I must stress that our organisation of this trip is being done on a not-for-profit basis: we really just want to offer something different and meet up with like minded forum members to enjoy the best all weather green lanes and scenery that Mid Wales has to offer. That said, we plan to stay in a very nice 4 star spa hotel in Llandrindod wells and plan to enjoy their facilities to the full. We would plan to meet at the Hotel for drinks and a 3 course gourmet meal on the Saturday evening (the hotel facilities will be available for participants from noon on the Saturday so bring the better half and enjoy the pool and Sauna or even indulge in a massage). Following breakfast on the Sunday we will split into 2 small groups and put in a full day of driving on some of the classic routes around the Cambrian Mountains. The cost of the trip comes in at £205 which covers 2 persons sharing a room with full board (3 course evening meal and huge breakfast) plus unlimited use of the spa and gym (massage and other therapies are extra), as well as a few incidental costs incurred in organising the trip.

You will have to cover your own fuel costs and lunch on Sunday. Dogs are welcome at the hotel but they do make an additional charge.

We ran a similar trip last year as we felt there was very little available that appealed to people with shiney new trucks which they might like to use off the blacktop but who would hate to scratch them or otherwise damage them in any way (our own trucks are late model Puma 110s which we would also hate to scratch!). The routes we choose will have been driven by us in advance and will be interesting and challenging but in no way damaging. You will need a suitable 4x4 (not a soft-roader) but previous off-road driving experience is not needed. We are happy to offer advice and guidance to less confident drivers.

If anyone is interested and would like more details please drop me a pm with an Email address and I will send you more details

Regards

Mark
