Bull Bar Cowboy
Calling all anoraks……. Will early 90 calipers (split pin type – imperial axles) fit metric axles ……….(I know the bolts are a different thread but is the hole spacing the same) ? I want to use mine on the replacement axle I am building as I have rebuilt them SS pistons etc…........ but I have also got a pair of late 300's laying around in the workshop When did the pistons change in diameter from small to large ? …….. I know its only defenders that have the larger pistons ……. but from what model year. Who is going be the fist to tell me to get off my butt and go outside and have a measure
white90
yes I've fitted late type to an early axle no probs just the bolt differences you are already aware of
Bull Bar Cowboy
Ah….. thanks Tony. That’s a good start as I will probably fit the axle this weekend ……… so I can use the existing callipers and that will give me time to rebuild the late 300 /TD5 calipers to fit later….. Yes, I have plenty of the later metric caliper bolts .... Ian
