Hello.

has anyone come across a electric pump to replace the mechanical lift pump on a 300 TDI engine .

I have been looking at a pierburg pump fitted to the later range rovers, wondered if that would do the job or does it pump at to high a pressure.

have any of you done this conversion , if so what did you use.

any ideas would be useful.

thanks.

Neil.

I used a 4psi Facet 'Posi Flow' pump, as the 300tdi lift pump doesnt seem to keep up with the TGV thirst.

Been on there for a couple of years (probably 25k miles) with no problems.

I left the mech pump in place, with a loop of pipe from input to output, just in case it still works when the Facet packs in, and to fill the hole in the block.
