CJ1 Posted January 29, 2013 Share Posted January 29, 2013 A nice person from this club has offered me a gearbox from a V8 and has said that I would need to fit my bell housing in order to make it fit. I have never heard of this before, Is this right? Will a V8 Discovery Automatic Gear Box fit a Discovery TDi Auto with the Bell Housing Changed? Jon White Posted January 30, 2013 Share Posted January 30, 2013 No it wont fit. The two gear boxes are different lengths and the mainshafts are different.
